Nigerian Nabbed in Malaysia With Drugs Worth N15M
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia -- A Nigerian man was arrested just after his arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) during a special operation, and drugs worth RM300,000 (N15,442,771) were seized.
The success came after police traced him at the airport on Sunday.
Federal Narcotics director, Comm Datuk Nor Rashid Ibrahim, said the arrest occured at 7.30pm. The police arrested a 42-year-old Nigerian man who flew in from Cairo.
Police checked his bags and found 1.5kg of Syabu [Methamphetamine],  worth RM300,000 (N15,442,771), in a specially modified compartment.
"He has been remanded until Sunday to facilitate police in their investigation," Federal Narcotics director added at a press conference.
