Chelsea Set To Sign Another Prolific Striker

Barely a month before the end of the 2013/2014 football season in Europe, Chelsea is set to complete the signing of Hajduk Split forward Mario Pasalic next month. According to reports, the striker is said to worth £3 million and he is expected to be sent out on loan by Chelsea for next season. It could be recalled that it was reported in January that the 19-year-old was to sign for Chelsea.   * Pasalic, right, is set to join Jose Mourinho's Chelsea in England Pasalic's agent, Ivica Loncar, confirmed then that: "There are several interested clubs from Italy, Germany and Spain, and it is possible that the first two weeks of preparation activity will be with Chelsea. Military Lied About Rescue Of Abducted Female Students; Principal Of GGSS Reveals.

Today, April 17, the Principal of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Chibok claimed that the  rescue of 107 abducted school girls in Borno  is false. The principal Asabe Kwambura said: "There is nothing in the military statement that is true about  our abducted girls . Up till now we are still waiting and praying for the safe return of the students; all I know is that we have only 14 of them, and the security people especially the Vigilante and the well meaning volunteers of Gwoza are still out searching for them." According to her, the military people are still searching the girls. She said that the management of the school haven't received any information about rescued students. She underlined that "all the information passed on the media by the military concerning 107 girls is not true." Mrs. Kwambura confessed she was contacted by the military headquarters in Abuja yesterday and some person was asking her to confirm the number of girls released.

7 Internet Scammers Arrested In Lekki. Expensive Items, Cars Recovered

On Sunday, April 6, seven suspects of internet scamming have been arrested after a surprise dawn raid on two houses in the Lekki area of Lagos. All suspects are undergraduates studying various courses in some of the nation’s tertiary institutions. According to an intelligence report from EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission), the undergraduates were picked in two houses at Lekki County Homes and Lekki Phase One, both in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State and charged with alleged involvement in sundry internet scams. All suspects have made useful statements. One of them, Shola Muyiwa, confessed that recently he collected $100 from one of his victims, Dora Hunt, based in North Carolina, United States of America. After the search, various items were recovered from the suspects, such as laptops, expensive phones, Ipads and exotic cars: a Range Rover Evogue, Honda Crosstour, Mercedes Benz C 300 4matic, S 300 Mercedes Benz and Acura ZDX SUV. TRAGEDY: 7 Dead, 289 Missing and 179 Rescued In South Korean Ferry Sinking

A tragedy happened yesterday in South Korea, when a ferry with over 300 people on board sank with 9 people officially confirmed dead, over 300 missing and 179 survivors. Ferry, called Sewol, departed from Ansan city for a four day trip to Jeju Island, which is considered a Hawaii of South Korea. It left the port at Incheon at 9:30 p.m. on March 15th. On Wednesday, before 9 a.m., one of the passengers, Kim Sung-Mook, as he reported to CNN, felt a tilt of ship when he was having his breakfast in the main hall of the ferry. He claims that the passengers thought the tilt happened due to the tide. However, the ship suddenly leaned. The announcement was made via ship’s loudspeakers asking the passengers to stay still as moving would be dangerous. After that, they heard a loud bang coming from inside the ship. A Nigerian, Odeomenan Kenneth Ozioma, has been reported to have been arrested in New Delhi, India with heroine concealed in a lady’s shoes. It was said that the 23-year-old Nigerian kept the heroine weighing 330grammes in specially made cavities in the shoes, meant to be sent by courier to the United States. * One of the shoes caught with a Nigerian in India with concealed heroine According to additional commissioner, crime branch, Ravindra Yadav: “The heroin weighs 330 grams which is worth Rs 70 lakh(about $120,000) in the international market.
