Nollywood Actress, Ini Edo To Be Thrown Out By Her Husband?

Image
When sultry Nollywood actress, Ini Edo's husband traveled out months back and left her behind in Nigeria to "do her thing" many didn't suspect anything was wrong as it is not unusual for a husband to leave his wife behind to attend to some business issues and return home. But days turned into weeks, her husband didn't return; weeks have turned into months now and it's obvious Ini Edo can no longer hide her pains again.... A source told TON that she has been complaining secretly to a few friends about her husband's fight with her. She has done all she could to make him "forgive me even if I'm wrong" but it seems her efforts are not really working as she had expected. And it's getting bad. Another source disclosed to TON that the major issue is Ini Edo's inability to get pregnant and give her husband a child after three years of marriage. It is said that the man was advised against marrying her due to her "past" but he

UEFA Agrees Racism Sanctions

Image
UEFA has ratified a proposal to impose a 10-match European ban for players and officials found guilty of racism. Racism by fans will also now be punished by partial stadium closure for a first offence, with a full stadium closure for a second offence. The new sanctions were agreed by UEFA's executive committee meeting in London but moves to oblige national associations to follow suit have been watered down. The Football Association announced its own five-match minimum ban last week, but UEFA general secretary Gianni Infantino said individual associations could still decide on their own sanctions. Infantino said: "An association should adopt the same or similar measures. UEFA has always acted in a way to try to convince people rather than impose. "I don't think you measure the way of fighting against racism in one simple measure and sanction. "The way I read the FA's decision is that it could be five matches and it could also be 15. The FA

Eminem Sues Facebook

Image
The popular social networking site Facebook has been hit with a lawsuit from Eminem and his publishing company Eight Mile Style LLC due to what is believed to be the unlawful use of the Detroit rapper and D12’s collaboration “Under The Influence.”   According to AllHipHop.com, the lawsuit states that Facebook posted a Wieden + Kennedy ad, which promoted their new Facebook Home app and in the ad the music used is believed to be “Under The Influence.”   An altered version of the ad was then released, but according to the lawsuit the edit was then taken as Facebook’s acknowledgement of the unapproved use of Eminem and D12’s song.   “The alteration of the Airplane advertisement was an admission that Facebook knew it had infringed on the Eminem/D12 Composition,” states the lawsuit.   Ironically, Eminem’s lawsuit states that Facebook and Wieden + Kennedy’s response to the cease and desist order, which was initially placed, called out Dr. Dre although the mega-producer d

Police Rescue Woman From Flying To Africa To Meet Online Scammer

Image
Police have twice stopped a woman, 73, from boarding a plane to Africa to meet an online romance scammer who fleeced her of $75,000. Isabell's daughter, Ann, 48, said she feared if her mother had not been stopped from boarding yesterday's flight to Ghana, she might have been kidnapped and ransomed - or worse. Pensioner Jette Jacobs, 67, from Western Australia, was found dead in Johannesburg, South Africa, in February after meeting an online scammer. Victoria Police first tried to discourage Isabell from boarding a flight earlier this year. Ann and WA fraud squad detective Rob Martin finally convinced her to cancel the trip during a stopover in Perth. After falling for the loving promises of an African fraud, pretending to be a wealthy American proposing marriage, the Western Districts woman is now reduced to cleaning houses and working on a farm to make ends meet. Victorians lost $8.5 million to online romance scams last year, and $53 million was stripped fr

Summing it Up: TB Joshua Under Fire!

Image
TB Joshua promises to pay medical expenses from fatal stampede at Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ghana. It's the middle of a working day, in the middle of the week, but the trickle of worshippers at the Synagogue Church of All Nations is quickly becoming a flood. Around 1,000 people sit silently on plastic chairs cooled by dozens of floor fans at the church – a building reminiscent of an aircraft hangar just off Accra's industrial Spintex Road – watching its founder delivering a sermon on his own dedicated 24 hour TV channel, Emmanuel TV. Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as TB Johsua, founder of the Synagogue Church empire, is one of the biggest celebrities west Africa. His regular Sunday services in Nigeria boasts attendance rates of around 15,000 and the Nigerian government has reported that the number of worshippers travelling to the church in Lagos have significantly boosted tourism to Nigeria. Boko Haram’s Funding Remains 'Elusive'

Image
Abuja — Nigerian militants known as Boko Haram are well-armed and presumably well-funded. But as thousands of Nigerian troops battle the Islamist group, analysts say the actual source of the funding is as elusive as the militants themselves. The question is: who or what might be paying for the militancy. When the Nigerian military announces its victories against Boko Haram, it usually includes a list of the weapons that soldiers have recovered. It used to be mostly AK-47s, ammunition and bombs. More recently the list has included machine guns mounted on trucks, anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns. Solid financial support Political analyst Nkwachukwu Orji says there is no doubt the group is well-funded. "If not, they would have fizzled out a long time ago. But for them to have continually been able to recruit, to train, to acquire their equipment and resources - that means there’s a sustainable way of funding that organization," he said. Orji wouldn’t even specu

Nigerian Cabinet Approves New National Aviation Policy

Image
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a new national aviation policy to address safety issues in the industry. The approval is coming on the heels of accusations made by the Ministry of Aviation that private jet owners in the country continue to abuse the guidelines, with the issue coming to a head following the grounding of the jet belonging to Rivers State Government. The Aviation ministry grounded the Rivers jet, claiming that it was not really owned by Rivers State and had violated aviation rules, claims the state government denied. Briefing state house correspondents on the policy, the Minister for Aviation, Stella Oduah said that the policy will also give priority to technology at the airports as well as general aviation laws and regulations. She noted that the policy will ensure that jets operations are properly monitored, as private jets will operate as private jets and commercial jets as commercial jets. Shocker!! University Of Ekiti Students Owe School N2 Billion

Thirty-one-year old Ekiti State University, EKSU, Ado-Ekiti, is a university with a difference, especially in the aspect of students’ attitude to payment of school fees. The erstwhile culture at inception in the university, which took off as Obafemi Awolowo University and later Ondo State University before adopting University of Ado Ekiti and its present EKSU, was that students paid their tuition fees immediately on resumption for a new academic session, But that has become history as the culture had undergone degeneration over time from payment as at when due to when the students felt it was convenient for them and consequently not paying at all. There were cases of students, who gained admission to the university, spent four sessions, graduated and went for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme without paying a dime to the coffers of the university. According to sources in the university bursary, many full-time and part-time students hate payment of school fees w

Multiple Explosions Rock Niger Republic

Two explosions have occurred simultaneously at an Army Barracks and a company involved in uranium exploration in Agadez State of Niger Republic. The governor of Agadez state, Colonel Garba Maccido, confirmed the incident, which he described as the work of suicide bombers to the Hausa service of the BBC. Initial reports said only the suicide bomber lost his life at the attack on the Army Barracks, while, two others sustained injuries. No casualty was recorded at the uranium exploration company, named ‘Somai’. It is not clear if the attack has any links to the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria. Niger and Nigeria share large borders around the troubled Borno and Yobe States currently under emergency rule. There had been reports that some Boko Haram members were fleeing to Niger to escape from the onslaught by the Nigerian military. The Agadez governor promised to provide more details later. Nollywood Pornographic Movies Flood Lagos

There appears to be a renewed effort by producers of pornographic films to get a huge chunk of the movie market in Nigeria. A recent survey conducted by National Mirror showed that in the last six months, over 40 film titles with nude scenes have flooded both the Idumota and Alaba markets, the two film depots in Lagos, the country’s commercial hub. While efforts are being made by some renowned producers to get Nigeria on the map of quality film productions, certain filmmakers, driven by the passion to make quick profits, have turned their attention to making films with lewd scenes, which are often sold in the open market. During a random visit to Idumota, it was discovered that films such as  ‘Edge of Darkness’, ‘Dark Secrets’, ‘Sinful Act’, ‘Sinful Truth’ and ‘Oyoyo Airline’,  among others, were the rave of the moment. Some other titles like  ‘Bold Five Babes’, ‘Room 027’, ‘The Benjamins’, ‘Pregnant Hawkers’ and ‘Destructive Instincts’  were being awaited to appear on mass

PHOTOS: See Boko Haram Leader's Facebook Profile

Image
The leader of the terrorist Islamic sect, the so called Imam, Abubakar Shekau, seems to have a Facebook page where he communicates and exchanges messages with his friends. In his facebook page, Shekau has denied that Boko Haram collected any ransom to free Alhaji Skettima Munguno, the octogenarian former minister of petroleum that was kidnapped by the sect last month. Also, as the emergency rule declared in some states but harder, Shekau posted some photos of persons suspected to be his Islamic fighters. It is rather surprising that Shekau, whose group believe that Western Education is haram, is benefiting from Social Media, by having a facebook profile  Apparently facebook is not haram in Boko Haram’s mind. In the facebook profile, he even gave his location via google map. The question now is, could he be out of his mind or this is a profile created by a fun  seeking teenager? Below are some screen shots of his page and some of his friends. Source:   talk of naija

Lagos Socialites Raise Cancer Funds in Nude Show (Photos)

Lagos socialites were over the weekend treated to a sizzling hot nude show at the Eko Hotels in a Butterscotch Evenings’ event that raised millions for cancer patients. It was an amazing night as Hollywood’s Bill Bellamy and Yvonne Vixen Ekwere welcomed guests with rib cracking humor greeted by clamorous laughter from the audience. It was a hot evening that treated guests with great five course dinner from the Italian celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli. The guests also got the best of Nigerian music. The legendary Johnny Gill, as well as Nigerian acts, Praiz and Waje, treated guests to smooth music. But all that were a tip of the Iceberg. Immodesty Blaize, a British showgirl and burlesque dancer, crowned Reigning Queen of Burlesque in June 2007 at the Las Vegas Burlesque Hall of Fame, kicked in a twist for most of the guest when she staged a sexually titillating nude performance to open a fashion presentation by U.K. lingerie line Beautifully Undressed. Some jaws dropped. Fiv
