5 Big Reasons You’re Still Single

Want to change your relationship status? The first step is to know why you  can't  seem to find love. You've read all the magazines and the top dating tips, but at the end of the day, you haven’t found the answers to why you're still single. After years of coaching clients and running a dating service, I've found five reasons why you're stuck being single. 1. Your love life is not your top priority.  You think about dating here and there, but you are not going out on dates regularly. You spend time thinking about work, going to gym, you say you're busy, but really you're not prioritizing this part of your life. If you met an amazing guy today you would spend hours, maybe even days with him so why not put some of this time into finding him? 2. You  don't  believe you deserve to give and receive love.  You think the only people who deserve love have already found it. You think to yourself, “Oh, she’s so pretty and nice she deserves a great guy.”

Dangote, Africa’s First $20bn Man — Forbes

Image
The President/Chief Executive of the pan-African conglomerate, the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has become the first African entrepreneur to lay claim to a $20bn fortune, thus becoming one of the 25 richest men in the world.   Dangote’s 93 per cent stake in the cement company is now worth $19.5bn, according to the magazine. Dangote Cement becomes the first Nigerian company to achieve a market capitalisation of over $20bn. Added to this are his controlling stakes in other publicly-listed companies like Dangote Sugar and National Salt Company of Nigeria, and his significant shareholdings in other blue-chip companies like Zenith Bank Plc, UBA Group and Dangote Flour; his extensive real estate portfolio, jets, yachts and current cash position, which includes more than $300m in recently-awarded Dangote Cement. Forbes reported that the Nigerian billionaire was now richer than Russia’s richest man, Alisher Usmanov; India’s Lakshmi Mittal; and running neck and neck with Ind

Confusion in Kenya as Mikel Lands Ahead of Eagles

Image
The Kenyan camp has become depressed that midfielder John Mikel Obi was on his way to Nairobi after missing the friendly against Mexico in Texas at the weekend. They actually thought he was not coming for the game. Chelsea FC of England ace Obi was instrumental to Nigeria’s 3-2 defeat of the Stars at the same venue on November 14, 2009 – a result that sent the Super Eagles to the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa. The midfield lubricator flew into Nairobi aboard a British Airways flight on Monday evening, hours ahead of the rest of the delegation that was being expected from Frankfurt around 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday. Government sources say Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta or Vice President William Ruto would be special guest of honour at the big match. On Sunday evening, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Ambassador Akin Oyateru flew into Nairobi from official assignment abroad. He quickly welcomed the advance party of the Nigeria Football Federation and instructed m

Crisis Hits Northern Governors’ Forum

More members of the Northern Governors’ Forum are preparing to withdraw their membership of the 19-member group in protest over the May 24 Nigeria Governors’ Forum election. The governors are those sympathetic to Governor Jonah Jang, who heads a faction of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. A formidable member of the Northern Governors’ Forum and Bauchi State Governor Isa Yuguda had on Sunday pulled out of the group. Yuguda, one of the two contestants for the Nigeria Governors’ Forum election who stepped down for Jang had cited the breach of an agreement by his colleagues to support the Plateau State governor. “I don’t see any reason why I should attend the Northern Governors meeting again. If that is what we will do, I am not going to be part of it. For the remaining two years of my tenure, I will not be part of the Northern Governors’ Forum,” he said. He challenged other northern governors who allegedly betrayed the understanding reached during the forum’s meeting to own up

Why We’ll Win 2015 Presidency – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the unfolding political events in the country are a concrete indication that the party will win the presidency in 2015. This is contained in a statement by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olisa Metuh, in Abuja on Sunday. Metuh said that the unfolding political event was also a sign that the PDP would win more states in 2015. He welcomed opposition parties and particularly the yet to be registered All Progressive Congress (APC) to electoral contest in 2015, but noted that they were already “doomed to fail”. According to him, Nigerians have since realised that they are “merely strange bed fellows who have nothing to offer but united by bitterness, frustration and religious and tribal sentiments”. He said that the PDP remained the party to beat because of its democratic stance and formidable structures across the country. “This is why the PDP will continue to win elections. The PDP is the only party that has formidable stru

Buhari: Why I Wept Openly For Nigeria

Former military Head of State and Congress for  Progressive  Change (CPC) national leader, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), yesterday opened up on why he shed tears in public during one of his presidential campaign rallies in 2011, saying he wept for Nigeria. Buhari, who was guest of the week on a Kaduna-based radio station, revealed that when he read an article in one of the newspapers and saw the amazing opportunity Nigeria got through petroleum resources from 1999 to 2011, he shed tears. “That was the only time I broke down publicly; it was as a result of an article in a paper I read before the 2011 general elections… And I saw the amazing opportunity we got through petroleum resources from 1999 to the time I shed tears, and I saw the state of the country, the decay in infrastructure and that people were just in a position of irresponsibility and they were just doing their own thing minding their own business”, he said. “Nigeria is absolutely mature but the execution is the b
