Scientists say they have discovered of the first-ever two-headed bull shark. Experts say the baby beast, found in the Gulf of Mexico, was a single shark rather than conjoined twins. Boffins at Michigan State University carried out a study on the strange creature. "This is certainly one of those interesting and rarely detected phenomena,” said Michael Wagner, the university’s assistant professor of fisheries and wildlife. “It’s good that we have this documented as part of the world’s natural history.” Wagner and his team used MRIs to reveal the shark had two distinct heads, hearts and stomachs, with the remainder of the body joining together at the back to form a single tail. The team could not give a reason for the strange anomaly but said they would have to find other similar sharks in order to investigate. The two-headed bull shark found last year after a fisherman cut into the uterus of adult shark and discovered the baby. It was brought to the marine s

Image
Activist lawyer, Festus Keyamo has described the trial and judgement of Henry Okah, leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) as political. Henry Okah Mr. Keyamo, in a telephone interview with Channels Television, said Mr Okah’s problems started when he refused an offer to support the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan. He said, “I want to let Nigerians and the World know that there’s a lot of politics involved in this matter; because I am aware that so many overtures were made to Henry Okah to support the Jonathan administration openly, like other militants were doing. “They needed his support so badly and government officials, friends of Jonathan travelled to South Africa, met Henry Okah, stayed with him and courted his support. Henry Okah did not agree to their terms. They wanted him to openly support the Jonathan’s administration at that time.” Mr. Okah was on Tuesday jailed for 24 years by the South Gauteng High Court in Johan

Osama Bin Laden’s Death: New Details Surface

Image
There were “the Shooter” and “the Point Man.” Now a third member of SEAL Team 6 offers another account of the raid on Osama bin Laden that led to his death in 2011. The report from CNN appears to contradict Esquire’s widely circulated story, "The Man Who Killed Osama bin Laden," by Phil Bronstein. The unnamed source from CNN calls the Esquire account "complete B-S." The SEAL team member in the Esquire profile, who was described simply as the Shooter, claimed that he entered the compound and found bin Laden with a gun in reach and shot him. “In that second, I shot him, two times in the forehead. Bap! Bap! The second time as he’s going down. He crumpled onto the floor in front of his bed. He was dead. I watched him take his last breaths,” the Shooter told Esquire. That account conflicts with the first-person narrative from the bestselling book “No Easy Day,” written by Matt Bissonette under the alias Mark Owen. According to a third account from the ano

“There Has Been No Proposal” – Sandra Okagbue Denies She Is About To Wed Mikel Obi

Image
Sandra Okagbue has come out to state that she is not about to tie the knots with Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi.   The stunning model, was this week rumoured to be preparing for her marriage to the Chelsea player, but the Onitsha indigene, says there is nothing in those reports. Her statement read: “This is to inform the general public that the current stories foretelling a proposed wedding between I, Sandra Okagbue, and Mikel Obi, is entirely incorrect. There has never been such a proposal between either of us let alone an agreement, or even a wedding date as rumored. There is no truth in the reports that Mikel Obi and I are getting married. “There have been too many false stories about me in the papers, and several blogs. My name has been linked with several people whom I am supposedly familiarly linked with. Some of these false reports even went as far as claiming that my family house was bought by these imaginary suitors. This is disheartening. I come fro

President Jonathan, Please Save Victoria And Ihuoma

Image
I am surprised that I have not read in any media, local or international, about efforts by the Nigerian government to help two Nigerian students who have been on deportation list in Canada for a 'crime' that makes mockery of the very ideals that western societies proud themselves on - hard work. Victoria Ordu and Ihuoma Amadi, 20 and 21 respectively, having been holed up in the basement of a church in Canada - not for document forgery. No, not for 419, internet scam or fake marriage, but for attempting to work and earn decent stipends to augment what they get from home. The news media in Canada has been awash with the reports since June 2012 when the two University of Regina students took refuge in a church hoping that the Canadian authorities will forgive them for working in Walmart for two weeks. The issue here is that the student visa they carry permits them to work on campus but not outside.  The students have in their various interviews stated that they stopp
