Dr. Datti Ahmed Pulls Out Of Boko Haram Amnesty Committee

The Boko Haram amnesty committee set up by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday has suffered yet another blow as a second nominee, Dr. Ibrahim Datti Ahmed pulled out of the committee today.

Dr. Datti Ahmed Pulls Out Of Boko Haram Amnesty CommitteeThe renowned medical doctor and President of the Supreme Council of Sharia in Nigeria, Dr. Datti will be the second person to pull out of the committee in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, civil rights activist Shehu Sanni and president of Kaduna-based Civil Rights Congress (CRC) pulled out of the committee through an announcement on twitter.
Comrade Sanni said the Nigerian president did not contact him before including his name.

Nigerians Are Good People Indeed

The dispatch with which ordinary Nigerians rescued the motorist whose vehicle plunged into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge on Saturday, January 26, 2013 proved once more that Nigerians are great people. Unlike most stories from Nigeria that usually end on a sad and demoralising note, this story ended on a happy note like a Nollywood film. It was nothing short of a miracle. Police Arrest Redeemers University Student Over Death Of Suspected Gay Banker

Homicide detectives of the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti, Yaba, have arrested an undergraduate of the Redeemers University, Ogun State, in connection with the brutal murder of a suspected gay banker, Adindu Ohamara. According to sources, the banker was on April 9, found in a pool of his blood in his room, having been stabbed severally by the suspect. Six persons were thereafter arrested in connection with the crime by detectives from the Homicide Unit of the State Criminal Investigations Department ,SCID,in Panti, Lagos State.
