Amosun To Daniel: Your 8-Yr Tenure A Waste

The war of words between the immediate past governor of Ogun state, Gbenga Daniel and the incumbent, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, took a new dimension over the weekend when the later took a swipe at Daniel saying that his eight year rule in the State was misrule adding that the party under which he governed the state, PDP is ‘dead and buried in the State.’

Ibikunle Amosun
Daniel, who governed the state in 2003 to 2011, was according to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, confused with the level of developments going on in the state, saying that with the feat, PDP is naturally dead and buried in the State.
His words, “I sympathise with them. They are confused. They are frustrated. They don’t even know what is happening. They are perplexed, an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.”
We have responsibilities to govern but they don’t have. What they are doing now is to shoot the government down.Let me use this opportunity to tell them that the PDP is dead and buried in Ogun State. everyday, they ask themselves, how is he doing it? They saw what we are doing and they never believe it is possible but we thank God and the good people of Ogun State for believing in us not like them”.
Amosun while reacting to a publication in a national daily that nothing was being done at many of the construction sites in the state and that many of those contracts awarded by his administration were on the high side, said, “We are not like them. Of course, our people know who are thieves. You see they are confused, how can anybody in their right senses make that assertion that this road, nothing has happened here, without sounding immodest. There is no state in Nigeria that can match the quality of what we are doing including Abuja.
Go and check the amount we are taking, this is a world class bridge we are doing here with over 130 pipes and some characters are saying we are not doing anything, even if they are blind, of course they can feel the equipment, for me I sympathize with them and I am sure the good people are waiting for them I am sure they will fight them with their votes, the election is around the corner but for us, it is work, work and work.”
