Obasanjo Absent At PDP BoT Meeting


Former president Olusegun Obasanjo was conspicuously absent at the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at the Presidential Villa last night.
The meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan started at about 8.30p.m. The contestants are, Chief Tony Anenih, Chief Shuaibu Oladokun, Dr. Ahmadu Ali, Chief Don Etiebet, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu and Senator Ken Nnamani.
Those in attendance were Vice President Namadi Sambo; Senate President David Mark; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambawal; former vice president Alex Ekwueme; and former chairmen of the party, Bello Haliru Mohammed; Ahmadu Ali; Barnabas Gemade and Vincent Ogbulafor.
There were also Governor Ibrahim Shema (Katsina); former Senate presidents Adolphus Wabara and Ken Nnamani, former deputy Senate president Ibrahim Mantu; Sule Lamido (Jigawa); former speakers of House of Representatives, Ghali Na’abba and Patricia Etteh. Other prominent members were Josephine Anenih, Ambassador Hassan Adamu, Danjuma Goje and Shuaibu Oladokun, Prof. Jerry Gana and Mrs Mariam Ahamadu-Alli.
Others are Bello Mohammed and Chief Bode Olajumoke, Nigeria’s Ambassador to Canada, Ojo Maduekwe, Kema Chikwe, General David Jemibewon, Ebenezer Babatope, Senator Dalhatu Tafida, and PDP National Secretary, Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
